Have to Share....

I usually don't post stuff about other DS designers on my personal blog, but this is something I just have to share. SherrieJD is hosting an art journaling class at DeviantScrap, starting November 14. The class is called Countdown 2 Christmas and will cover all things art journaling - digi and paper. There will be loads of information and inspiration and Sherrie is including a huge exclusive kit and a $10 coupon to her shop!!! If you sign up right now, while its on sale, its that makes the class almost free!!! How crazy cool it that?!?!? So head over to the shop and sign up HERE!

Love everything about Christmas? Getting in the holiday spirit? Want to document the special season? thought about trying an Art Journal and didn’t know where to start? Then this class is for you!

The Countdown 2 Christmas journaling class will prepare you for documenting the upcoming season with a head start in November.

Are you a digital scrapper only? Do you like to make hybrid projects? Or would you like to get your hands messy? Do you prefer to document everything on your blog? No matter what media used or skill level, this class will be packed with fun, colorful and inspirational information for creating a lifetime keepsake.

For $25.00, (but on sale for $20.00 until November 14) there will be an amazing amount of instruction and a huge dose of inspiration. With the amount of digital goodies included and the coupon to my store, the class practically pays for itself!

What does the class fee get you?
* Access to Exclusive Class Forum for C2C classmates
* Gallery for sharing C2C layouts and journal pages
* C2C Digital Kit ($10.00 value available on Nov. 14)
* Printable Christmas Collage Sheets
* Printable Christmas Planner to help with Organizing all your Holiday Events and shopping needs

* Instructions on how to create a hand-bound journal using either printed or hand-painted journal pages.
* Page templates specifically geared towards Art Journaling, which will include hand-drawn overlays made by moi.
* Instructions on how to paint and prep a journal using acrylics and watercolors

December 1 – December 31 (daily participation through Jan 1)
* a writing prompt to help visualize and capture holiday memories, both past and present
* stuck for ideas on what to photograph? a photographic moment suggestion
* word art cluster in same theme as journaling prompt, provided as a .png file
* printable quick page for those that want to print and assemble as we go. These pages will be provided from my own art journal pages prior to my addition of titles, pictures and journaling.
* ideas on incorporating ephemera from our daily holiday schedules
* have a special request? We’ll have a section in the forum for suggestions and requests. We all share different traditions and holidays and I will accommodate as many requests as I can.

Bonus Personal Touch
*  For those that provide me high-resolution images (uploaded to my personal box.net account), I will create a PDF “booklet” that can be printed two-sided and bound with a 3-hole pamphlet stitch (instructions will be included). This feature is for those that would really love to participate, but are just overwhelmed by the process of pulling it all together. The PDF can then be saved on CD/DVD and taken to your local print service for printing. This service can be provided during any stage during the process, giving the option of printing before December 1 and allowing the journaling to be done by hand or the option of printing after everything has been completed and the finished journal can be printed at your leisure.

CLASS registration will remain open through December 31. The forums will remain available for a minimum of one year. BUT, we will have a bunch of interaction, inspiration and fun, so the sooner

Welcome To My Nightmare

I am so behind on blogging! Blogger locked me out and it's taken forever to get back in! But, I am here now with lots of exciting things happening. This is one of my favorite times of the year...Halloween! I love decorating and making cool, scary stuff. We go all out at my house and if you remember what we did last year, we are doubling it in size this year! We are adding a cemetery out front and are building everything ourselves, including the tombstones. They are looking amazing! Can't wait to show you!

In my excitement this year, I have 2 new Halloween kits. The first, which I released 2 weeks ago, Haute Halloween is an elegant kit. Think Pottery Barn meets Halloween. Totally chic and not a drop of purple in it. Today, I am debuting my second kit, Welcome To My Nightmare. This kit is crazy creepy. It's truly the stuff nightmares are made of. My deviant CT really had a blast playing with it and yeah, they sort of scare me now....LOL! It's on sale until Wednesday only.

And finally, we are celebrating this month with SPOOK-tober at DeviantScrap. Please drop by the forums and check out all the fun and games we have in store for you. Challenges, games, lots of winners and of course, some trick or treating!

New & On Sale - Theatre of Dreams & 2 ATC sets

So, I have to admit, the whole altered art bug has sort of bit me. I am loving that I can use my digi supplies for other projects and expand my artistic vision. I am still a die hard scrapper because I have to do something with the zillion photos I take of Jason. So for this round of new product, I created mini kits that can be used for either scrapping or altered art. First up is Theatre of Dreams. This mini kit is perfect for creating little staged vignettes. I think there are a ton of uses for these theatres and you will have great fun using them. My CT sure did!

Then, I created 2 new ATC sized kits. ATCs are my new obsession! We have an ongoing ATC swap happening at DeviantScrap and can I tell you how much fun it is to get a little piece of art from fellow artists in the mail?!?! These 2 kits have 5x7 BGs and frames that can be used, as is, for Jumbos or scaled in half for actuals.

New & On Sale - Metal Momma

Metal Momma
Metal Momma Freebie
Hello all my blogger friends! Feels like its been awhile. The summer is whipping by so fast. It's hard to believe it's the end of July already. Has it been a good one so far? It's hotter than hot here and I have been up to my eyeballs in all kinds of crazy projects...like remodeling the garage. Probably not the smartest time of year to tackle that one but it's look great. We have doubled our storage space! Woot!

Alright, on to business! I present to you my latest kit, Metal Momma! This kit is made completely of metal. Metal backgrounds, metal elements, even metal animals! It's so rich in color and texture and creating lush pages with it is a breeze....just check out what my amazing CT did with it!!!

And its been awhile, so I thought I would create a little mini kit freebie to go with it. Hope you have fun playing with it!!
