Once Upon A Time - C.Y.O.C.

I am so pleased to present to you my part of the C.Y.O.C. - Once Upon A Time.

Bunch of New Goodies in the shoppe for you today.

Hi Everyone!! I have a bunch of new goodies in the shoppe for you today. I was in an artsy fartsy mood and decided to create a bunch of element packs that are sure to add some pizzaz to your pages. I love all the color and they all look great layered together. The wordart is perfect for scrap pages or as prompts for your art journaling. The Stenciled and Sprayed set is awesome of adding some flair to your paper or clipped to elements. They look just like if you used your glimmer mists and spritzed your stencils in real life.

More Brains!!!!! New and On Sale.

More Brains.....they growl. The living dead have returned and are ready to create mayhem in your art and on your pages. We are total zombie geeks at our house. We love "The Walking Dead" and are huge fans of George Romero. We like to listen to movie commentary when we go to sleep and George is one of our favorites. We joke that it's Uncle George telling us bedtime stories. 

Nick also makes zombie videos for Haunted Houses and the like. We recently had Gage Munster, from the show FaceOff, do the makeup on the latest set of videos. Super talented and sweet guy. Even the kiddo, in our house, loves zombies. He likes to pretend he is a slayer but once the Halloween props start coming out and the graveyard gets setup, he goes into full zombie mode. It's quite funny. 

So in honor of Halloween and ghoulish delights, I present to you my latest kit, More Brains!!!! This kit has tons of papers to set your scene...both day and night. There are zombie accessories like eyeballs and brains. There are the "good guys," a sheriff, soldier and containment man. And then, there are loads of wounds and other disgusting bits to create your own zombies...like I did here.

New - Bird Boxes

 

I am pleased to present my newest kit to you, Bird Boxes.  This kit was inspired by my all time favorite artist, Joseph Cornell. His work has enthralled me since the first moment I laid eyes on it. When I saw an exhibition of his boxes in New York, it cemented my love affair with him. I didn't want to leave. I just wanted to move into the room and live there. 

If you are not familiar with Cornell's work, there are numerous sites and books on his art. WebMuseum, Paris has a wonderful quick overview of his boxes and PEM.org also has a lot of great info. Be sure to "Launch Site" for a fun, interactive look into his work. There is also a great fan site called, JosephCornellBox.com. It's interactive and they have a gallery you can submit to.

Woo Hoo!!! I have been published again!

I am so excited to announce that I have been published again!!! I am so honored to be featured in the newest Somerset Digital Studio - Autumn 2012 issue. They have showcased my Creative Muse Tarot Card Series and two of my most favorite layouts. The Creative Muse Tarot Cards were part of a challenge I hosted at DeviantScrap. You can read more about the hows and whys in the magazine and if you would like to see more samples from me and the other participants you can go HERE. It was a super fun challenge and really stretched my artistic wings. If you are interested in giving it a whirl, you can find the info listed in our past challenges section at DeviantScrap. One of my most favorite things about this issue is how many of my talented digi friends are in it too. I am so excited for them. This issue is a party I tell ya!

New & On Sale - GONE JUNKIN

 

There is nothing I love more than going junking. I love sussing out bits and bobs in thrift stores. Mornings spent at flea markets scouring for lost bits of history. Even hitting garage sales scooping up someone else's trash and turning it into treasure. It's the crow in me...it call calls to me. One of the great things is that it is usually a family event. Nick and Jason both enjoy doing it as much as I do. I love seeing their creative wheels turn as they try to figure out what to do with some cool find. Some times I am grateful that we only have a single garage to store all of our junk and other times, I wish we had a big old barn so we could collect to our hearts content. But in the end, it really doesn't matter...just spending time together junkin is half the fun.

Bad Blogger

I have been a bad bad blogger. I guess sometimes life just happens and I can't get everything done on the list.


So in a brief attempt to get caught back up, here are two of my latest kits that should have made it here sooner.

This kit is for the photographer in all of us. From past to present, you can find it all here. Set up your studio, bring in your models and get shooting. After that, there are loads of texture papers to help you process your "film." This kit is sure to bring out your creativity.

Then there is Curl Up & Dye. 

I was in a girly girl mood and wanted to do something a little out of my norm...a serious girl kit!!! This kit is has loads of fun stuff, including a bunch of wigs that are perfect for playing dressup. Can you say new avatars? There is also fun makeup that can easliy be recolored to become paint for art journaling. Desaturate the foundation and you have gesso! It's a two-fer, I tell ya!
